After nearly 18 years of service to the Polish anti-doping system and nine years at the helm of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency, Dr Michał Rynkowski is leaving POLADA to begin a new chapter in his professional career with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
In his new role, Michał Rynkowski will be responsible for cooperation with national anti-doping organisations and governments across Europe. His appointment reflects recognition of his many years of experience, expertise and commitment to developing anti-doping systems that protect clean sport, both in Poland and internationally.
Nine years of POLADA’s development
Michał Rynkowski has led the Polish Anti-Doping Agency since its establishment. During this time, POLADA strengthened its position as a modern, credible and effective anti-doping organisation.
Under his leadership, the Agency expanded its doping control programme and developed its education, intelligence and investigations activities, conducted proceedings concerning anti-doping rule violations, and implemented numerous international projects.
POLADA also strengthened cooperation with Polish sports federations, public institutions, law enforcement authorities, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Council of Europe, the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO), and national anti-doping organisations from other countries.
These years were marked by the consistent development of a strong anti-doping system, the growth of a highly qualified team of experts, and increased awareness among athletes, coaches and athlete support personnel of the risks and responsibilities associated with doping.

Hubert Dziudzik to assume duties as POLADA Director
Effective 1 August 2026, Hubert Dziudzik, currently Deputy Director of POLADA, will assume the duties of Director of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency.
Hubert Dziudzik has been involved in the Polish and international anti-doping system for many years. Before joining the Agency, he worked at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism for nearly a decade, where he oversaw anti-doping matters from 2013 onwards.
He was among those responsible for organising the World Conference on Doping in Sport in Katowice in 2019 and participated in the development of the Act on Combating Doping in Sport. He is also a member of the European Ad Hoc Committee for WADA (CAHAMA) and the Monitoring Group of the Council of Europe Anti-Doping Convention.
“I regard assuming the duties of POLADA Director as a great honour, but above all as a responsibility. We will continue our efforts to further develop the Polish anti-doping system. We will build on the Agency’s achievements, expand cooperation with our partners in Poland and abroad, and strengthen all activities that help protect athletes’ health and ensure fair competition.” says Hubert Dziudzik.
The change in the position of Director does not alter the direction of the Agency’s activities. POLADA will continue to carry out its responsibilities in the areas of doping control, education, results management, intelligence and investigations, as well as national and international cooperation.
The mission of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency remains to protect athletes’ health, uphold the principles of fair competition and promote the fundamental values of clean sport.
